Cable or Hydro Tranny?

so i have an LS transmission on my EM1. im wanting to replace it soon cause of pop outs and grind. not sure what i want yet but maybe find a B18C instead of the B16A. im all new to this and would like to learn the difference between cable tranny and hydro.

difference between cable tranny and hydro.
With a manual trans, it's about what system lies between the clutch pedal and the clutch release fork.


Yours should be hydraulic. You have a small reservoir for clutch system fluid.
