Finally found vacuum leak! Now dont know what it is

98 civic ex, d16y8, MT

So i finally found the vacuum leak that has been causing me problems for months, but now im not sure what to do. Its a small nipple on the bottom drivers side of the intake manifold. Ive looked at my manual but cant figure out what it is? it looks as if a vacuum line should attach there but i have no idea what it would go to. Any input much appreciated!

Re: Finally found vacuum leak! Now dont know what it is

never mind, found out it was for cruise control....I paid 90 bucks to honda and put a couple weekends working on this with no success. Even took off intake manifold and cleaned it out thinking it could be the problem. You can literally see the hose from the cruise control just dangling there in the right of the picture. Plugged it back in, idle back to normal, no more surging. I am an idiot lol

Your not an idiot. Things like this perplex even the best of mechanics simply because they are looking into it far too deep. Glad your back and normal though
