I have a '96 Civic with some front end damage (hood, bumper, radiator support, grille, passenger headlamp). I found a '97 parts car on Craigslist, but I just wanted to confirm that '97 front end parts will be compatible with the '96. Are there any gotchas I need to be aware of? Any specific fits I need to look for?

While I'm at it, would a '98-'00 work too, or do things get too different by the end of the generation? Anything that definitely won't work?

Yes 96-98 are the same and 99-00 are the same. 99-00 have a more aggressive look than the 96-98

99 is when they did the model refresh, where everything on the front clip changed. so anything up to a 98 would match up fine
