Simple question about the oil dipstick

Hey guys,
I have a '99 CX, here's my question: when you put the dipstick for the engine oil back in its "pipe", should you see the two rubber rings?? I had the oil changed the other day and it seems that the dipstick doesn't fit like it used to, and that would affect the reading by about 1/2 inch... thanks in advance!

Re: Simple question about the oil dipstick

Dipstick needs to be fully seated in the tube for checking oil level.
The O rings seal the crankcase from unfiltered air, and keeps dirt out when driving.

Push it ALL the way in. Period.

Tube bent? O rings swelled? A new stick should be cheap. I show $12 retail.

Re: Simple question about the oil dipstick

That's what I thought. Somehow now the dipstick won't go past the first O-ring, I'll look for a replacement. Thanks for the reply!
