Does my engine have an EGR valve?

On a D16y8 A/T, is there an EGR valve? If so, where is it located and how to clean? (A pic would be great!)

Re: Does my engine have an EGR valve?

No. Only M/Ts and d16y5, and CVT transmissions have an EGR valve.

Re: Does my engine have an EGR valve?

Yes your engine contains the EGR valve which you can locate at the driver side near to the intake manifold in any vehicle. If you want to remove the EGR valve than you have to take out the EGR valve. For that you have to disconnect all the wires and tubes from the EGR and than unbolt the EGR valve from the intake manifold. Then you can take off the EGR valve and can clean with some good liquid material.

This is incorrect. MelJ is right, Only the CVT (HX Model)/MT transmissions have them. Troll needs to stay under the rock where ya belong.
