Red Tails

hey i have a 96 civic EX coup black and have wanted red tail lights for a long time. i found these lights on ebay (red ones on right) and are exactly what i want. the seller said they were originally clear tail lights but were painted over with high temp paint. has anyone painted or does anyone know anything about painting these plastic tail lights?

yes
go to walmart model toy department and pick up the translucent red spray paint, something like that
take your lights off and wash them good with soap and water and alchohol
let dry then apply a couple of EVEN layers over the lights
tape off the white part so it wont get painted for legal purposes
let dry between layers and also buy some clear coat paint to make it glossy
have had mine done for about a year and no problems
