Hi I have a 1997 Honda civic, has a wierd problem.
I changed the daytime running light module, but still have the same problem.
When you turn the car on the left headlight is very bright, and the right one is very very weak light, you can barely see it on.
When you turn the headlights on they work normally.
I tested the voltage at the headlights, when the daytime running lights are on, the right one reads 8.5 volts, the left one is at 14 volts, but it is very bright, seems like both the high beam and low beam are on.
Now another thing is when you remove the fuse for the left side headlight, there is still power going to it in daytime running mode, so when you remove the fuse the light lights up like a normal daytime running light.
and when you unplug the right side plug from the bulb, the left side lights up normally like a daytime running light should. but as soon as u plug it back in the left one lights up very bright.
now either there is a power draw at the left side, or a problem with the right side, or a problem with the daytime running light system, I changed the module a few times so far, I interchanged it from a 2001 civic, which looks the same and same plug.
Also at the fuse box everything is normal when the headlights are on, but when I turn them off (daytime running mode) the right side has no voltage there, and the left side has 8.5 volts.
Is there anything I should be changing?
Thanks in advance.
