could it?

Question... on a higher mileage 99 ex.

if the car has been running hard, on a hot hot day, stop and go traffic.
and when i stop to park, pull the ebrake (stick shift) and for whatever reason, if i dumped the clutch and stalled/killed it (thought it was already OFF, cause it runs so smooth).

is it possible to trip the check engine light (knock sensor or some sensor)..??

i dissconnected the bat, it reset fine,
run the car hard the next day, hot hot day, same type traffic (without
stalling it out) and it never had the check engine light.

just wondering if that was enough to trip the light...

thoughts
opinions
happened to you...

anything

thanks

its got a new (aftermarket) cat
oh... and what is it again???? the "thing" between the cat and the muff?
it RATTLES like CRAZY.

SO... what to do? i hear "down stream O2", fuel leak, vacuum leak. ETC.....

i do have my little pocket scan i keep in the car. I get the cel after 2 cycles.
(is it bad just to reset it and reset and reset...?) till it throws a solid code?

Re: could it?

Well, it worked... i drilled out the long defouler to 1/2" and mated/mounted them.

120 miles and many cycles later, NO CODES...

IT WORKS.

only problem is that sometimes rattles against the shifter linkage, but with the heatshield rattles it already has, i'm happy with it.
