nice im going back to the track on april 5th with a nice pair of slicks. well see if i can improve my 60foot times thats where i was sucking. i got no traction. For **** sake my friend in a stock 07 fit beat me..hahaha
I was using an 05 Civic LX - not sure what's been done to it though. It's got a short intake and some exhaust work, nothing I'd call performance giving/race worthy. It's also been dropped about 2", not sure if that makes a diff.
Best time of the night was 18.21, consistently hitting 19s though. First time actually doing it, so I'm sure my launching and shifting need a lot of work. Spur of the moment decision too, so I had a good amount of weight in the trunk.
ok now i have added a light weight underdrive crank pulley so next time i go back well see if that stupid thing made a difference. i dont think it will though. im just trying to beat the FIT, were both running the same tires, Potenza RE01-R
i have a stock 04 civic ex coupe and my first time at the track i ran a 16.4 @ 84mph. it was a first time exeriance for me. i didnt know when i had to launch. when the light turned green, i took off, 16.4 @84mph i think that is kinda good for my car stock. what does everyone else think?
thats good for an auto. if you have manual, it should be a bit faster.
Mine's a manual. I was thinking the same thing too. I guess I have to play with launching and figure out when to shift. One of these days I'm gonna finally empty out that trunk though.
At least I beat the Sonata that was out there. Didn't even have his license plates in yet and it sounds like something was up with his transmission by the end of the night. Couldn't accelerate for jack afterwards.
One of the guys working there had a Civic, so we gave it a run. Beat me by at least 2 seconds. Didn't have a chance to find out what he did to it though.
b16a sirII 14.8 last time with full interior and system. taken out the passenger seat, back seat, subwoofer (alpine type x like 60lbs), window washer tank, and prolly some of the sound deadening i find. prolly gunna shave 150lbs atleast. hope to run low 14s. roughly 100lbs is almost half a second. but thats a guess. weight makes a big difference.
