Re: 1999 Civic H22 Swap.

Well the motor mounts themselves are 1500, the motor i bought from a 1993 jdm prelude, for 3000, with a cam already in it, so i got a pretty good deal on the motor it is in good shape. it wasnt to much work, no cutting but i only have about a quarter inch of clearance.

Re: 1999 Civic H22 Swap.

I had a 94 Civic with a D16Z6 and I had the same problem, at first it would only do it when it got hot than after a while it did it all of the time, and I had my mechanic put a machine on it and checked every sensor and nothing........so finally after driving it for 2 months like that i got tired of people looking at me at redlights and wherever else i was sitting still....I finally sold it and two weeks later the guy called me and said that he found a hairline crack in the manifold that was reducing air pressure causing it to "hunt" ( Hunting is when the car will rev itself) mine would only hunt 500-700 RPMS but it still sounded like crap.......Hope this helps....
