Question 97 Interior

Hi all,

im a new proud owner of a 97 Civic Vti and its barely been touched since baught, all the interior is still stock standard. I was wondering if there are solutions to some of the interior downers at the moment;

1 - Is there anyway of replacing (with an updated model) or removing the center console clock? its very faded and just looks out of place. When i purchase my stereo i was thinking of placing the stereo in the middle if there is no framework behind the original.

2 - Is it possible/difficult to change the lights behind the dash and the console? the faded orange isnt doing it for me haha

Thanks Guys

Dave.....

Re: 97 Interior

I'm not familiar enough with the VTi to help you with the clock but you can replace the lights in the dash or console and it's not that difficult.

Re: 97 Interior

Yea if u wanna take he old clock out there should be 2 screws behind the clock. if ur tryin 2 take the whole dash/console out on my usdm console their is a screw behind the hazard switch an another behind the rear def. switch. the other 2 r underneath when u take the acessory socket panel off next 2 the shifter. sorry the r kinda crappy. if ur gettin rid of the clock how much would u want it 4? my brother just bought an ek an he wants one.

Re: 97 Interior

Are there certain sizes for the dash lights? iv tried to have a look on the net and haven found many sites that sell the lights.

from all the 97 civics iv seen online they all have that crappy looking dash clock, cant believe theres not an updated alternative.
