i want to do an engine swap but idk which to do or what would get to 300hp and decent torque the quickest while being reliable. i want a integra R engine or maybe a prelude but idk if the prelude is really that tuneable, i want somthing cheap, strong and light. help me out here??

looks like you have a 5th gen civic. most of the people on this site deal with the d series motors and some k series motors.

i would say, to get the info that you are seeking, check out www.honda-tech.com, that place is full of infos.

Turboed b18c or NA built b18c either one you can hit 300hp fairly easy. If I remember correctly a b18c1 and b16a2 are direct bolt in swaps. The b18c5(type r motor) requires an odb2 wiring conversion. The h22 (prelude) motor requires aftermarket motor mounts. Or you could just keep your D-series motor and turbo that.

or should i just purchase a GSR engine which would be cheaper but would it be able to gain power just as easily and i heard it takes turboing better????

Definitely the wrong site to come too for the 5th gens, but the best bang for the buck is the B18b its good for boost.

b18c1 is the GSR motor, it should bolt right in to your car. Or if you want to go a cheaper route get a b16a2 and turbo that.
