My new 4th gen hatch

6th Gen Honda Civic In the years from 1996 to 2000 Honda released it's 6th Generation Honda Civic. This Honda Civic had a more aggressive front end and overall body style. It was an instant hit among import tuners.

My new 4th gen hatch

well, i love coupes dont get me wrong, but i love practicality more than anything. Which is why you wont catch me with neons, or a stupid ass spoiler. But i like hatches, some love them ( like me) while others hate them..( its not your car so dont worry about it). Im also noe not to complain about ride confort. Id rather feel safe than sluggish ( used to explain suspension) i would rather it be bumping and stiff than confortable and sluggish...

which is where this car comes from...
no real options, no a/c, no p/s blah blah blah blah>>>

cuase if i wanted that crap i would buy a lincoln or a cadallac

but anyways,

here is the basic story on this..
its a 1992 civic hatch.

here is the first pic.. meet Pursifanie

totally stripped, cleaned up... no bondo , chassic had about 85,000 miles on it.

here it is getting painted...

The car was painted in and out, engine bay and everything. about 7,000 with labor and all put into it...rollcage and all was painted also..

The gauge cluster, since it was a vx, didnt come with a tach, so it was replaced with a ex cluster, and stats it has 160,000miles but it doesnt... the car it came from had 160K...

more on the painting process

ok, lets get down to some goodies...

engine mods
1997 GS-R B18C1 VTEC ENGINE Converted to OBD1 by Pacific Performance (approx. 2000 miles on rebuild) Engine completely balanced and blueprinted, hot-tanked, cylinders honed/bored .020 over, valve train professionally assembled and machined by a professional race engine builder in Orlando, FL.
NUFORMZ BLOCK GUARD installed before cylinder honing
JE PISTONS 9.0:1 (Bored .020 over) / JE HIGH TENSION PISTON RINGS
CROWER CHROMOLY CONNECTING RODS
SKUNK2 ITR DUAL VALVE SPRINGS/ SKUNK2 VALVES / SKUNK2 RETAINERS

with the bore and stuff, its no longer 1.796L its now a 1.818 or something like that... its not much..
motor and work done to it was around 7-8,000$.

here is the pic of the engine...and turbo
PRECISION SC61 TURBO (T350 .76 TRIM “STAGE 5 WHEEL” .60A/R capable of over 650hp...

and the intercooler
APEXi GTR FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER
appoximitly 800$... im not giving prices with everything cuase theres a lot of small things...

and here is other turbo setup items...

your wondering, how does a tranny made to handle 500hp when stock it supports 180hp???

here...
500 hp axles stage 2...
performance clutch, blah balh blah
6 puck street/strip clutch

7.5lb flywheel...

i need head lights right??

all of these is controlled by the whole 9 yard setup..

aem ems system, greddy turbo timer and controller

with all that power, you need to stay in the seat..

AND here are the completed pics with boost lbs and rated hp

335whp on 14.5lbs daily, and 409whp ( about 450crank same as a dodge viper) on 20lbs...

2000lb car with 450hp... you do the math...
good gas mileage, and nice pick up

your car is what i want. Nicely done hatches look so good but are like ghetto. for instance, you will get stared at if u pull up to a upscale place. I wish i had your car, but i dont hav any money

I guess you know a lot about engines and stuff right? I'd want to do something like that but I don't even know half of the stuff you listed. I'd probably take it to a shop and get raped moneywise to get half of the stuff you have done to your car.

yes i mind you asking..

here are some videos

they are at 14.5lbs boost
330+whp at peak, but im shifting before the 9000red line and not under full throttle... so im guessing im using about 285whp...... more to come later... when i can get 2 people to do this with me.. AND a better camera... er should i say phone

i was doing it with one had, so give me a break...

first video from 40-80mph under part throttle. breaks loose at 60mph

http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=MVI_013247

second video 40-60 showing under part throttle and less than peak hp the tires and still break lose at 60mph..
http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=MVI_013163

last one is 70-100.... not to impressive but its still only 285 or so whp not the 410..

can you just ballpark it for me? i wouldnt mind taking on a project like that, but i dont want to get into it if its too ridiculous.

im not exactly asking for a full personal financial portfolio...i just want to know approx. what that kind of project costs. didnt even think it was a big deal...was just trying to be polite
