Rep Power: 0 Fixed my 2002 Civic EX SRS Light on Problem
I have a 2002 Civic EX purchased 9 months ago with the SRS light on.
First, I have tried the reset process according to the instructions got from some people posted in this site using two wires to jump the terminals. But that method did not work for my car.
Then I found a guy from a local Craig's List who claimed that he could fix the electrical/electronics problems for cars. So I called him and spoke to him about the problem. He sounded not to be a scammer, so I took my car to his place. He used his computer and plugged in the car. He found out two codes - one was the passenger side airbag and another one was the driver side seat belt buckle. He fixed the passenger side airbag problem right way.
Finally, I bought one seal belt buckle from eBay (a Top Rated Seller) one week later. He replaced it. The SRS warning light was gone.
$220 for diagnosis and labor and $45 for the part.
The state where I live requires the safety inspection for all the vehicles so I have no choice but to fix this problem.
