If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Description is far too vague, I have no idea what the video is about.
Need more info.

Re: Rpm problems please help

Ezone,
Thanks for replying, the video is of the reaction I get when driving my car. The RPm's starts off fine then when it reaches 3000rpm it drops back down to 2000 till I get the engine back up to 3000 rpm then it is fine. I also feel a surge or push when the RPm's drop. Any idea from what it might be.

Still not much to go on here.... Without knowing anything about what's going on in the video it looked a lot like the trans just made a gear shift.

Even though there is no check engine light on (does it work at all?) did you check for any codes?

Cold engine? Hot engine?
How's your weather there?
Every time you reach 3000 it does this? Only once each trip? Random?
How far is your foot pushing the gas pedal when this happens?
What if you floor it, does it still act up?
First start of the day? 30 seconds after startup? Hot restart? After being in the store for 5 minutes?
Driving? Stopped? In gear? Neutral? Moving? at what speeds?
Automatic or manual trans?

Re: Rpm problems please help

No codes from the engine odb
Weather is cold here in NYC, notice only on cold starts
Only the 1st time it reaching 3000 rpm then it goes back up normally
Pedal is not to the floor just normal street driving, when I on the highway just the 1st time it reaches 3000rpm it does this drop and surge feel in the engine.
Also the cars an automatic

Ok so this only happens one time each time you drive it?
How soon after starting up the engine does it do this? Within the first 10-20 seconds?
