Hello everyone, I would greatly appreciate your expertise:
2005 CIVIC LX-G SEDAN
156,000 KM
18 MONTHS UNLIMITED KM (POWER TRAIN WARRANTY,ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WITH UP TO $1000 PER CLAIM, $150 DEDUCTIBLE)
$4,488 CDN (before taxes)
or
2005 CIVIC Si SEDAN
159,000 KM
$3,999 CDN (before taxes)
Both cars are automatic transmissions.
Both appear to be in decent condition.
So, which is the better deal?
All feedback is welcome - thanks.

Well civic lx-g is a regular car with automatic (I am assuming) where as Si Manual normally people tend to use SI's more rigorously and roughly because of its K20 and six speed manual transmission. Between the two if you don't mind driving a stick shift than I would say go for SI as it has option of more power but make sure you check the clutch by some expert to make sure it didn't need one as it cost a lot to replace one. Where LX-G would be a with less power but will do the job same also do check the auto transmission on that one too to make sure its been service properly to avoid any kind of failure in near future (but you are getting some warranty there) so that you are covered. Hope this help.

Thanks for the info Pier7866.
Both cars are actually automatic. (sorry, should have mentioned that)
Not sure if it's just a Canada thing, but Si's come in manual and automatic here.

I think the Si manual recommends premium (93 octane), doesn't it? I really wanted to get an Si but this really put me off since I would be commuting with it.

This is what I was not sure about with the older Si models.
Take a look here:
https://www.honda.ca/civic_coupe_si/specs
What does it say under "Recommended fuel"?? Pretty sure "Premium" refers to 93 octane.
So if older Si models don't need premium, when did this take affect?
