good day people,

there's a squeaking sound in my rear suspension. car model is civic 2001.

what's the cause? is it only due to worn out bushing of rear shocks?

i have a squeak too, mine is coming from the rear drivers side camber kit. probably because they are so old, i just spray some white lithium grease whenever it squeaks and it stops it for about a week. i should just replaced the part i know

It squeaks even at smooth road.

The mechanic advised:

• to replace both rear shocks assembly because one shock has leak (moist on the upper portion)
• to replace lower swing arms bushings
• to replace both lateral link assembly

1. Can leaking shock can cause squeaking sound?
2. Is the lateral link also known as camber kit?
