ATF pressure measurement

Hi All how do you measure the ATF pressure also did anyone clean the internal transmission filter without taking apart the transmission? What about injecting ATF with break cleaner through the exit (front) line? Just an idea but I am curious if someone did this. My civic 2001 is 171000mi. With original transmission. From 120000 mi. with external filter and cooler.

A cursory glance at a service manual shows this trans having 5 different test ports (line plus 4 separate clutches), a variety of test conditions, and two sets of pressure specs (but minimum spec is 120 psi for all of them). Please get yourself a good service manual.

Re: ATF pressure measurement

Search this site for 'looking for a 7th gen manual for free'.

Start at the last page of the thread, that's where newest links would be.

No guarantees anything is exactly correct though
