Rep Power: 0 Need help making my Civic postal delivery friendly!
Hi everyone. I just found this site so I apologize if this is in the wrong place. I was recently hired to be a rural mail carrier for USPS. I'll be driving my own car on the route. Since it is NOT a right hand drive vehicle, I'll be required to sit in the middle and drive with my left foot/hand. Sounds crazy but thats what everyone does apparently. Of course, as I'm sure everyone knows, my 2005 Civic has a center console that makes this almost impossible. I've been desperately searching for a cheap beater car with a bench seat but have had no luck. Now I have two days to figure out how to remove the center console from my car and make this work. It's a pretty solid job and I would really like to stick it out. Any help would be appreciated. I am not car savvy at all but I can follow directions! Thanks everyone!

Moved to general 7th Gen Civic subforum.
Haha or you could run your route backwards! The console shouldn't be held on by more than a few screws... the problem is that everything including the cup holders will be removed too! Maybe you could do some careful cutting?
BTW, a DIY removal is here: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...r-console.html
