Alignment/steering wheel issue.

So to make a long story short i replaced my front struts and after doing so i needed an alignment. I go get one and when i got it back my steering wheel was not straight. When it is straight it pulls to the right. So i have to slightly have it to the left for it to go straight. So i took it back to the place 3 times because of this and its still not straight..,.. So my question is..is this common with are civics??? Like does anyone else have this problem or are the technicians doing it just bad??

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

This is your problem.

Stock struts were used? Not lowered?
How far off center is the steering wheel?

Re: Alignment/steering wheel issue.

Stock struts, i didn't lower it. And its just a little bit off center. But if i straighten my steering wheel my car goes to the right a lot.

Off center is not the same as a pull. You forcing the steering wheel to center is the same as steering it one way or the other (to the right in your case?).

OTOH If you are traveling straight on a level road and the car heads toward a ditch (or oncoming traffic) when you let go of the steering wheel, that would be a pull.

And its just a little bit off center.
How much is 'a little bit'? A few millimeters? A couple inches? Eleven o'clock? 45 degrees?

Even the new car assembly lines don't get them perfectly straight every time.

If it's only a few mm off, that might be forgivable. It's tough to get them absolutely perfect sometimes.
IMO much more than that could be cause for a recheck at my shop.

Can you post the printout of the alignment they did?

Re: Alignment/steering wheel issue.

Ok now that you say that. It doesnt pull to the right. If i let go of my steering wheel my car goes straight but the steering wheel i off 1/4 inch to the left. If i make it straight then it goes to the right. I will post the pics of my alignment specs

Re: Alignment/steering wheel issue.

Measured at the rim of the wheel, 1/4 inch doesn't sound like it's off by much at all.
I've seen brand new cars with the steering wheel off center by more than that.

Also note the location of the tie rod adjusters on the 7th gens makes it a little more difficult to 'tweak' the adjustments to make minor corrections.

At the same time, it shouldn't be any major ordeal to get it corrected to your satisfaction.
Maybe you need to show someone in charge exactly what your issue is.
