honda civic wont run

hi everybody.
I have my Honda civic 2004, the key has a chip.
when I put my key I see the key signal on the board and after a while it disappear then I start and the motor runs.
since one week ,I put the key and on board the signal key stays flashing and the motor doesn't run , so I remove and reinsert the key until it doesn't flash, then the motor runs
what do you think the problem is?
thanks for all.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: honda civic wont run

Too many possibilities there, can't just tell a list of parts to try.

Remove your keyring stuff and use JUST the key by itself and see if that makes it work consistently.
Metal and other RFID type keys and fobs have been known to cause interference.

interference?after 5 years using same keyring?
How exactly was I supposed to know that?

Got another good key you can try?

You can do some testing on the wire harness between the immobilizer CU and the PCM.... You'd need a Volt/Ohm meter and a wire diagram.....
You'd probably need a dealer level scanner to go testing much beyond that or to program any replacement parts.
