If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: D17A PCV Valve replacement?

I think I see now.... Engines for North America use the threaded valve.

Part # HH30-P07-G01?
I can't really make out the first 2 characters on the part number.
If that's the number it's not valid here.

Option 1: Swap the breather cover from the old engine so you can use the threaded PCV valve (probably best option)

Option 2: Figure out what else uses that particular style valve
(4th gen Civic? 1990 DX/LX shows a straight stem valve)

Option 3: Carry yours into the parts store and try to match it up. Box stores usually cannot do that, that's why I said "not open on Sunday". You need a REAL parts store with people that know what the hell they are selling.

A little late but this should help others who might be having the same problem. I needed to replace the PCV valve on my JDM D17A and couldn’t find anything on Google but this thread. I found out that “Part #17130-P2M-A01” will fit the JDM D17A perfectly. It worked for me. It also looks identical the JDM D17A PCV valve minus the color which doesn’t really make a difference.

Don't worry about being late mate I registered just to say thanks! I've got a 2002 Civic 5 door hatch here in Australia (don't think you got them in the US) with a D17A2 in it. Honda no longer carries the PCV valve (17130-PH1-033) for this engine but after removing and inspecting the valve itself I reckon the part number you quoted will fit. Thanks again.
