i installed an hid kit from DDM tuning into my friends car and he is quite disappointed with the color. he ordered the 8000K 55W kit thinking that with the wash out it would be more like a 6000K 35W kit like mine.. unfortunately it's WAY whiter than mine even tho they are 8000K i guess the 55W washes out the color a LOT.

he isn't too concerned about visibility but rather the specific look of blue.. but doesn't want it TOO blue. would 12K 55W be way too blue? im afriad the 10K might not be blue enough after seeing how white these supposed 8000K bulbs were with his ddm 55w ballasts..

10 and 12 will start looking purple. Drop down to 35w, slap in 8000k, and call it a day.

really even with 55W ballasts? cause these 8K are WHITE as hell so i figured 10 or 12K would be closer to a 35W 8K? damn DDM tuning for saying that 8K 55w = 35W 6k, 10K 55W = 8K 35W etc..

DDM tuning is known for lying about output color but for 30 bucks who can really complain ???

yah i read some article saying the 8K and 6K bulbs are actually the exact same bulbs.. which is believable considering 8K bulbs with their 55W are way whiter than my 6K bulbs with 35W.
