Talking 02 civic si

Sooooo i used to drive a pos lx that was falling apart but i got an 02 si last friday it runs great no problems so far!!! Yay!!!! But i wanted to know a few things 1. What rpms are good to shift at? Ive onlt even driven pieces of shote before this car so i kept them all under 2k. For fear of blowing up. And 2. What mods would you recomend? I just want ideas rigt now its all stock except the exhaust and wheels, the previous owner changed them.

Re: 02 civic si

Shift anytime before redline. For better MPG keep it low, if you need to go take it higher.

Lower it! Intake, headers, stage 1 cams!

Re: 02 civic si

1- for normal driving, shift at about 3500rpm
2- TypeR conversions are the most popular mods; the typeR is almost a completely different car yet almost all its parts fit on the si, so here you go

Re: 02 civic si

There are two O2 sensors, a primary (Upstream) and secondary downstream. If you CEL is on and throwing a code, you can use the code to determine which O2 sensor you need.

You can look up the correct OE replacement at Denso or NTK website and purchase the correct part from Amazon.

For example, Majestic Honda wants $68 and Amazon sells the Denso part for $33. Local dealer wants $100.
