Ac wire snapped.

before I get starting I just wanna say, First post!!!!. hopefully many more

So now im wondering who can help me maybe figure this problem out.

I have a 2001 Honda civic EX and about 2 months ago my AC quit. The fan comes on and everything so I thought it was kind of odd that the AC would just quit like that. So today I had time to take a look at it and it appears that the fan snapped the AC wire ( Ill post pictures if anyone needs a better description)
So i went to hook it back up, when i put the 2 wires back together , long story short it sparked when i started the car and the AC started, but then I disconnected it to try and make a better connection and now nothing.. it doesn't work again.

Does anyone know maybe whats going on?

thanks!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Ac wire snapped.

Without being able to see what happened and what you did to have it spark, I'd say to check all the fuses in both fuse boxes.

Re: Ac wire snapped.

I checked the 2 relays for AC and they seem to both be fine and i didn't see any other fuses for AC

Re: Ac wire snapped.

Fuses protect the circuits, not relays.

Dash fusebox fuse #14, 10 amp
Engine compartment fusebox fuse #1, 20 amp

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum!
