Great deal on an '03 Civic LX

Hello there, I would appreciate some buying advice.

Just found a 2003 Honda Civic LX Automatic. It has...

New tags
Recent timing belt/water pump change
New spark plugs
Regular oil change
Good to great cosmetically

All for $2100.

But just one catch...

It has 214k miles on it.

I read that transmission failures happen around the 100k mark. If it's lasted this long (or perhaps it's been replaced/rebuilt), should I be worried or should I take comfort that this tranny is built solid? I'd like this car to last me about 3 years or so without a major fix. I know nothing's guaranteed, but at that price, is it a worthy investment?

Many thanks.
