Question Another question about the power window system

Okay, so I replaced my driver side regulator and motor about a month ago, and everything's been great. Except I now notice, the driver side window is supposed to be a two step manual/auto roll-down system. But the automatic part doesn't work. I've checked the switch by feel, and I can tell the 2 sections apart, but it doesn't matter if I push only to the first half, or all the way down, the window is manual only and stops as soon as I let off. I'm going to guess this is either a switch or relay issue, but I could be wrong either way. Anyone have a bone they can throw me about this?

Re: Another question about the power window system

Compare your old motor to the new motor. Should be 4 wires to the motor.

The extra 2 wires are for the pulser or counter, that's what the one touch feature
'watches' to know when to stop running the window down.

This can be tested, there are steps in the service manual.

Aftermarket parts are always suspect.

Don't have the old motor, I chucked that in the trash after replacing it. However, when I was in the door this last Saturday doing the lock actuators, I took a pic of the wiring:

OEM wiring on the left, Dorman wiring on the right. Not sure why the red and green are doubled up, but it's otherwise 4 wires to 4 wires, just the blue/black are reversed which could make sense, or could be the problem. Thoughts?

Re: Another question about the power window system

01 coupe, wire diagram shows what you have there. Blue and blacks are mixed. OK.

Volt/ohm meter

Disconnect that plug,
turn key on
Make sure there is good ground at the black wire (car harness side of the plugs)
See that the blue wire shows 12v

reconnect plug
backprobe the blue wire (car harness side of the plug),
Use the master switch to lower and raise the glass.
See that the blue wire shows pulses ground rapidly as the motor runs.
If you leave the meter on volts, you should see roughly 6v while the glass is moving.
