Car is not acting the same after new trans.

So This weekend I replaced my 01' trans with an 05' trans and got a new OEM clutch. Second gear works! The problem is now on the high way it makes a sound like something isn't spinning right. It also boggs a lot when shifting into first and second. Idk if that's because it's a different clutch and I'm not use to it or what. But it now sounds like garbage compared to before the trans install. Please help!

Could be the input shaft bearing, they go bad on a lot of 7th gens. Do you hear the sound when the car is stationary on only when driving? Here is a great page on the forum to help diagnose tranny noises. https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...save-some.html

usually with a new clutch install . one must adjust the pedal to change the engagement point. it might feel like your going to stall . for instance with a stock clutch people usually let out the clutch without any gas, it take off fine. with a new clutch sometimes people will have to blip the gas a bit while letting out the clutch to help with stalling. im sure its normal whats happening . just have to re adjust to the new pedal feel. have to change your driving technique. good luck
