Should I buy this Civic?

I'm looking to buy a Civic and the most I can pull together is $4,000. I live in the SF Bay Area.

What do you guys think about this one? Is it really the transmission needing to be replaced?

I have a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid for sale today - I would be open to a trade for a motorcycle!!! car has 130,000 miles, runs great and saves gas
transmission has started making a horrible noise so I think it needs a tranny.

The link doesn't work...
I can think of a few reasons why having a motorcycle as a primary vehicle would be a PITA in the SF area. Most of them would involve some form of moisture haha

Re: Should I buy this Civic?

This one looks interesting but it's owned by a dealer

From my experience these type of sellers lie so bad. I would avoid it as well unless you really know what you're doing.

Re: Should I buy this Civic?

The first one looks nice but a new xmission could very well put you past the $4,000 mark if you can't put one in yourself. The second one is priced pretty high for the mileage. Looks nice though.
