Re: Interpreting AutoCheck/Carfax History

i interpret that the car was in an accident. how bad of an accident can be interpreted buy "slight front end damage" i don't know have the car inspected before you purchase it. most likely it was a fender bender but i would still have it inspected if they refuse to have the car inspected at your discretion go elsewhere.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Interpreting AutoCheck/Carfax History

Crashed
Driven for a year and a half after the crash. Probably reasonably ok if the owner kept it that long after a crash.
And auctioned. (Twice? Different dates, same mileage.)
There's a reason it went to the auction.
There's ALWAYS a reason that any car goes to the auction.

Could be as simple as: Traded on a newer car at a dealer, then dealer sent it to auction because of high miles....
Got any work history? Previous owner contact?
Has it had a IMA battery yet?

If you get it, you might be stuck with it.
Return policy?
