I looked on ebay and there are many mufflers out there priced $40 and up. I want to buy a muffler that will make a good sound. Is there a brand anyone can recommend and have one installed in your car and sounds good? I also might be interested in getting a cold air intake. My car is a 2001 EX 2DR CPE Automatic.

please don't buy a 40 dollar ebay muffler it won't last spend at least 80 bucks for a Vibrant Sreet Power muffler.

Or add that to the funds to get a decent sounding vehicle. I might be a tad old school, but IMHO "fart cans" sound terrible . High flow exhausts do benefit don't get me wrong, but loud doesn't equal high flow always.

I heard magnaflow is really nice because it has a nice deep tone, but also isn't very loud

Go to your local muffler shop, ask them a price for a magnaflow or flowmaster muffler, not a canister, it sounds amazing, got it for my 05 dx, however if u want an orgasm of a sound, get a 2 1/2 inch catback to go with it, along with a CAI, sounds like ur pulling something powerful, even for a civic, of course theres no performance gains but youknow. Sounds like it,thats what counts.

I have a nice Brand New Magnaflow Muffler never used wrapped in plastic in the box that I paid $150 for. I heard on display and it has a nice deep tone. Would sell it for a deep discount to get it out of my garage. Let me know if your interested.
