After CV/Ball joint replacement, Steering wheel is off.

Hello,

And before you ask i did a search and couldn't find anything.

I'm just posting to see if someone else had this problem and a possible solution.

I just changed CV joints and Ball joints, and I tighted everything up and took a drive and now the steering wheel is off to the right about an inch. It doesnt seem to pull to either direction when it is going straight. But the steering wheel being off just doesnt make sense, does anyone have any suggestions?

And yes i plan on getting an alignment, just wasnt expecting that i might need one.

Thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Any time you take apart and reassemble most suspension critical components, it needs an alignment.

The exception would be taper-fit points only (if that makes any sense).
