hi
i just changed the air filter for my honda civc 2004 and the idler runing becomes higher
how can i adjust it and is it safe to keep it like that

two ways:
1. pull the ECU fuse (i think thats what its called) in your fuse box in the engine bay.
2. jsut disconnect the battery for a few mins.
note: everythign will reset. if you have a stock radio, make sure you have your radio code first.

Should I do an idle relearn after I’m done installing?
Sure, you changed the way it sucks up air so its probably sucking air at a different rate- good idea. To do this disconnect your battery for 10 mins, reconnect and start your car. Make sure nothing is running (fans, radio, accessories, headlights) and leave the car alone for 5-10 minutes without blipping the gas pedal. Turn off, restart and drive around- enjoy your intake.

If your transmission is bad and when you start your rpms rush to 3000rpms with out putting a foot on the gas pedal? what does it mean?
Would you think idle relearn would work?
