Question WTB: Auto transmission for 2001 Civic LX

Hey guys, it's been a long time, so sorry if not posting this in the right forum. Couldnt find the classifieds.

Anyway I've gotten another civic. A 2001 LX auto with some sort of transmission problem.

I was wondering if anyone has an auto trany for sale, or know of a place that rebuilds them inexpensively. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again.

Re: WTB: Auto transmission for 2001 Civic LX

p.s. the prolem I am having is the P0730

I just browsed through the threads that mention it. Found a lot of instructions on how to check solenoids and a lot of whining and suggestions but nobody posted how they fixed the problem if they ever did. This is just FYI. I'll try the solenoids approach since it's a lot less of a pain in the *** but in the meantime still looking for a tranny as that is probably the more sure option.

Transmission clutch failure is what causes that code. What is happening is the clutches are slipping internally and that causes the shaft speeds to be out of range causing that code. There is absolutely nothing you can do to fix this besides replacing the transmission.
