Pothole and clutch

i was driving home from work,i was accelerating in first, at about 3k rpm hit a pothole and there was a somewhat loud grinding noise when my tire dipped in. could this of been the clutch slipping from the force of the tire hitting the pothole and could there of been any damage besides some extra wear on the clutch?

Re: Pothole and clutch

This really doesn't have anything to do with your clutch. Have you heard the noise since? It was probably the bottom of the car scraping along the road.
