mpg drop after spark plug change?

So i just changed my sparkplugs to NGK V power copper! I gapped them to 0.44

before my changed them i would get 460-500km per 40Litres of fuel and then the low fuel light would go on( i would have 10 litres left)

Now after i changed the plugs my light has come on consistently around 400-420km before the low fuel light comes on.

my driving habit hasn't changed that much and my commute to work has been the same.

also another thing......
I have a crack in my exhaust manifold from when i bought the car but it doesnt seem any bigger than when i bought the car. I read on the forums that could cause poor mpg. I read it almost costs and arm and a leg to change the manifold. Will i have to change it or will it just give me poor mpg and i can just drive it out till the car dies. i also have the slipping auto tranny problem so i dont want to invest in the car. just riding it out till it dies. rather pay more in gas than change out the manifold

any ideas?

Re: mpg drop after spark plug change?

copper is actually a better performing plug over platinum.
