I bought some satin silver metallic touch up paint for my civic and it does not match my civic's paint. The code on my car is NH623M, which is satin silver metallic? There is a clear difference on my car when it is applied...Is there different paints for different years or what?

Did you get it from the dealer? The paint matched in 05 but now that the car and paint has aged it may be a little off. You may have to blend like cja3455 said.

No touch up paint is going to match perfectly plus silver is a hard color to match.
With touch up paint your best bet is to keep the repair as small as possible.

any car that stays in sunlight for some time during the day gets color changes overtime. account for a few years and bam! years in the sun! so a new paint is not always gonna match an old paint.
you change colors when you get in the sun, right?
the difference is that the car will not generate new cells to replace the outer skim. simple as that.
