im looking to get my windows tinted, i got a buddy that will do it for cheap for me and he is good at what he does ive seen his work.
anyway in my state the rear windows can be tinted anything but your not supposed to have anything on the front windows unless you have a tint waiver from an eye doctor, so i dont really want to just do the back window because it looks dumb in my opinion on a sedan. my sedan is maroon in color, and like i said it is a 04 em2 sedan.
im looking for suggestions on what to put on my car that looks good but i dont want to go 5% on the front (yes im still gonna put something on the front) so hit me up with some ideas that you think would look good please!!!!

well since you know someone that will do so cheap you can get whatever you want because if you get a ticket you can just remove the tint and basically show the court or dmv and get off or have the ticket drastically reduced . then have it tinted again for cheap. but i wouldn't go to dark so you still have good night vision that way you can match all the windows the same tint.

i have 35% on all my windows i could have legally gone as dark as i wanted on the back windows but i hate the look of miss matched tints . my front windows are not legal i have gotten one ticket in the five years ive had it but that's only because i was driving like a ******* and the cop tact on anything he could. every other time i have been pulled over i just told them i bought it like that and they disregarded them.

I have a waiver. My pupils are super large and I have very light colored eyes. It sucks even with super dark shades. Originally I had 5% in the front and limo in the back but, you literally can't see in back of you at night and the fronts weren't much better. Ended up going 15 in the front and 5 in the back. Doesn't really look mis-matched until you get right up on it.

I have 15% on the front two of my coupe and 5% on back windows. The 5% is very hard to see at night, luckily ebay sells back up cameras for 20 dollars

The tint reflects the same looking in our out, i think in the vid they just showed it looking out because the interior is black and you wouldnt get as clear of a indication of the tint with the black interior behind it.

looking at pictures online is not going to give you what you need to see there's to many variables you need to see it in person tint shops have demos for this purpose.

I would suggest being very careful of the state laws. I know that where I live in VA, the state cops will nail you every time for windows being too dark. (Sucks to live near DC). So I'm going the legal route (50 up front and 30-35% in the back). OF note, I have tint from the factory, a greenish hue on the glass itself and don't think that it will get too dark for me. BUT I'm hoping that a professional tint shop will do wonders for my ride.

CA law is nothing at all in the front driver and passenger, but some argue 70% (which is just usless) and anything you want for the rear and the back windshield.
my tint has turned purple so I really want a retint.
I want to be able to revers without having to stick my head out the window.
The cops here where I live dont mind you with tinted front windows but they will sure tack it on if you were driving recklessly or if you have it at 5% haha
So thats why I wanted 35% which isnt intensely dark on the front windows.
And 20% which is dark but hopefully not so dark I cant see out of them.
Anyone have anything lighter than 35%?
Is 20% still to dark to see at night?

I've had 30% on rear windows before. I couldn't hardly see at night sometimes. It was even worse during fog. It could have been I live in VA (where it isn't so sunny as CA) but I would suggest going to the tint shop and ask what they would recommend as well others who have had experience with the tint (like you're doing now). Good luck to you on whatever your decision will be.

like i said 35% is the perfect setup for looks visibility at night and keeping the cops off your back. when i get pulled over they always ask me if its legal because there not sure i always ask what they think and they always say it looks legal but its not.

seems i'll be waiting till the weather gets better, supposedly its harder for tint to stay on durring the winter when its colder and I cant open the windows for fog and stuff.
