Cabin ventilation system civic 2002

Hello,
Air that enters the ventilation system inside the car smells bad.
Is there a way to clean this system. I think a manual disassembly and cleaning.
I tried various spray but do not work too good. Only if there is something more special solution which is not found to Canadian Tire.
I changed cabin filters.
Thank you.

I work for a detailing/distribution company and your best bet would be an auto vaccine...it's a chlorine dioxide that cleans every odor out of the car.

Re: Cabin ventilation system civic 2002

Have you changed the in-cabin filter and cleaned the filter box? That combined with some type of spray should knock it out (chlorine or ammonia base are the best). Also, get in the habit of turning the re-circ button off before you shut the car off. This opens the system to the outside and helps prevent mold/fungus buildup. Mold/fungus buildup= smell

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Thank you.
I wil give a try to this: http://www.biocidesystems.com/auto-c...5-savi325.html

It seems it's the same formula as "auto vaccine".
