Engine swap Q's for a semi-newbie.

Alright I have a 05 civic VP. I love my car like no other, save for its almost impressively slow engine.(This being a 1.7L no vtec 5spd manual transmission). So natrually i'm looking for an engine to swap. I here alot about a k20 or something of the like, but i just don't know what all i would have to swap out along with the engine. or how expensive it would be after it was all said and done. Also where would i pick up this engine and all the things to go with it? (P.S. i want to keep this as a daily driver for quite some time then eventually move it onto project car status.)

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

It would probably be far cheaper to sell your car and just buy an SI.
