so i have a chance to get a near mint 05 reverb, i was wondering if it can keep up with a 99 civic si (want to make sure i can keep up with my buddies car) and if it is worth putting I/H/E? remember this is Canadian si so its not a b16.

if it doesnt have vtec...then probly not. BUT you could get a d17 vtec head and swap it with the non vtec head and use a vtec controller. then u could engage vtec earlier than your buddies si and you should be pretty close to his. if you wanted to you could put in a stage 1 cam in the head and tada your buddy wouldnt keep up...if his is stock

not to be rude but i said it is not a B16 so its a SOHC haha.
i thought the reverb isn't vtec, everywhere i read says it isn't
yeah i just read up that the engine is a D17a1, meh a vtec head cant be that expensive

well if it is a d17a1 and you want to do a d17a2 head swap...
<---- this guy right here has a near mint d17a2 head for sale i could ship. with close to 30k mi on it completely rebuilt, complete with vtec solenoid, head studs, and some random brackets for the solenoid. PM me if your interested

at least what i got it from triz for. which is 200 + shipping. i know from when i bought it that shipping from washington state to ohio was about $75. just for reference
edit: also just so you know ive never installed it. i bought it off triz and planned to put in a stage 1 cam and install but then i got my ej8 which i want to do a h22a swap in and use the d17 as a dd. but it is completely assembled with valves springs retainers and the other big think that bolts to the side of the head. something for coolant it looks like.
