No remote and having alarm problems

My 2001 Honda Civic LX sedan needed a new radio receiver, so I disconnected the battery to avoid any potential shocks. I never had the remote to the car and never needed it till today. Once I re-connected the battery the alarm went off. Now I cannot start the car or turn off the alarm. I thought maybe I could just put the key in the ignition and it would turn off the alarm but I was wrong.

Any Idea of what to do? Am I going to need to buy a remote from the dealership?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: No remote and having alarm problems

maybe remove the whole alarm system and get a new one? call local audio shops and ask them what they would do.
