Rep Power: 205 inline fuse size
Hey to all the audio guys or anyone that can help.
I am helping my brother set up his system and I am just looking for recommendations on wire gauge sizes. He is going to be powering a 1000 watt amp and possibly upgrading to add another smaller amp afterwards. Will a 2 gauge wiring kit be big enough for this? I have found a nice kit online that I am looking to purchase. I am almost sure the wire size is good enough, but I am concerned more with the inline fuse size. Is a 150 amp ANL inline fuse big enough? or can someone link me to a good site that will show best recommendations for wiring when running different size amps/systems.
As always, much appreciated.
If anyone is curious, this is the kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/CADENCE-WK21-2-G...ht_2709wt_1141

Re: inline fuse size
2 gauge is plenty enough
What amplifier is that?
Know the RMS rating for it?
the12volt recommends 225 amps for 2 gauge power wire

Remember to do the Big3 upgrade. You'll need it.
electric130 here sells good quality ones at a reasonable price.

I am not too sure exactly which amp it is, the brand, or the model, but I am pretty sure its 1000 watt rms. I will find out and post it tomorrow once I get more information from him. It isn't for my car, I already have a full engine bay grounding kit, but I might make one for him anyway, I've made them a few times before.
