I recently noticed that at redlights my civic feels like its about to stall on me... it shakes and shudders... soemtimes i have to put it in neutral and tap the gas to keep it form dropping well below 500 rpms. WTH is causing this..... im hoping its something minor because i just finished replacing the ENTIRE AC unit and all of its components after it locked up on me out of nowhere while driving on the highway. BTW its an 01 civic lx AT 150K on the ODO .. new trans.. new ac..new brakes.. new timing belt...new plugs...new tdc...and front bearings replaced and repacked.... ive dropped some coin into it just to keep it on the road.. not one aftermarket addon for power looks.. etc

My two cents would be to check your EGR valve. when I tuned my civic I did not realize it had a crush-type gasket and lost one of the two nuts that hold it down. When I put it back on with only one nut and the same gasket, it gave me symptoms of a bad vaccum line.
I would reset you ECU as well so it can perform an idle re-learn. Run a search here on the forums will help you. You basically take your ECM/PCM fuse out under the hood, wait 15 seconds then put it back in, and make sure all exterior/interior accesories are off, and let the car idle for 15 or so minutes. Sometimes it takes a tank of gas to relearn. But hopefully this is a quick fix. Other fellas here will help you out more too. cheers.
