First off, i'm know gear-head so i'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to cars.

I'm looking at buying an 03 Si for $6000 with 101k miles. The guy selling it is the 2nd owner and has had it since 28k miles. He took care of it, but I wouldnt say he necessarily "babied" it. So, is there any common problems to look for in an Si once its hit 101k miles? I dont want to compare it with problems with the regular civics, because i know the 03 Si's are totally different, built in different plants and everything.

So what do you guys think, should I go through with the deal?

I guess check for clutch play and condition. If he was always hammering on it, the clutch might not be in such good shape. At 100k, I'd be looking at a timing belt/accessory belts/and water pump service. Basically all the stuff you'd expect that would need replacing. A car is a car. They're susceptible to the same things, despite trim. Civics in general seem to get beaten on a lot. I had to replace my axles, pads, rotors, spark plugs, timing belt. Nothing too serious. The timing belt job was done at the shop, but I did all the rest. I honestly haven't heard anything bad about EP3s. I drove one and thoroughly enjoyed it.
