After market cd player problem

Alright here it is..I got this Pioneer cd player and i hooked up the wiring harness and everything seems to be connecting well..but the cd player won't come on. I checked the fuse and the fuse for the cd player is 7.5 and it is blown..i'm wondering if that might be the problem...also i'm wondering if i'm connecting the wiring harness the wrong way..but that should be fool proof...it is just matching colors....if anyone here has any exprience with this sort of thing give me some advice on things i should check on in order to make the unit come on.

Re: After market cd player problem

when you installed the unit an exposed wire probably touched a metal surface and blew it thats why when doing electrical work you either disconnect the battery or remove the fuse.
