2002 CIVIC SI maintenance/prices

Hey guys just bought my self a 02 civic si NON TURBO with 100k miles on it...Got it cheep for about 4500 bucks. great shape but will need a major tune up as the belts and hoses look worn...

If i go into the civic dealer ship what am i looking to pay for a major overhaul tuneup...?? is there anything i should really look at replacing with these cars? (this is my first 4 cyl civic) ive ever owned, ive always had chevy v8s , so i really know nothing about them.

Can someone here help me out, give me a idea what ill need to pay/what i should fix ?

also do u recommend getting intakes for these cars ( my buddy has a Weapon type r dragon intake ( off his old si ) he gave it to me, but idk if i should put it on.

Thanks for your time guys

Re: 2002 CIVIC SI maintenance/prices

its a regular engine so i would say, oil, oil filter, spark plugs air filters, maybe a radiator flush and so on. But special things to check on this car are the lower control arm bushings, motor mounts (specially the front one) and if its an auto, check the trany and its fluids. Other than that, you can change some other long term items like cabin air filter, cleaning the throttle body, changing fuel injectors or just cleaning them up...oh and maybe check and change the shocks.

its just a car...there really isnt much special to it. Theres LOTS of information on this forum about maintenance and what you can do to make your car run better/smoother.

good luck and good buy. I would post some pics...everyone here loves pics haha

Definitely thrown that intake on if it fits. Can't harm anything and frees up some engine space. Won't do much in terms of power, may add some sound.
