Short Ram Intakes D17

I'm pretty much a noob, but is there a DIY to install a Short Ram Intake on an Automatic D17A1?
Would it be the same as the https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...g-aem-cai.html
-Thanks

Re: Short Ram Intakes D17

I guess it would be almost the same? The CAI pipe goes down the engine, where an SRI wouldn't. I'm sure there's a DIY somewhere or someone can explain it to you because i myself haven't installed one.

Re: Short Ram Intakes D17

It's exactly the same as the first few steps of the DIY, all your really doing is taking off the stock intake and putting yours in it's place.

Re: Short Ram Intakes D17

AEM CAI v2 for the 7th gen civic's still stays in the engine bay... its almost stupid easy to install, i think i could of told my girlfriend to put it on and been successful

its quite literally 2 hose clamps from the intake tube to the intake and 1 bolt holds it in place (in the middle of the intake where the weld is just under the blue wire loom on the right side)... the other 2 you'll need to install which is again plug and play is the sensor and small 3/4" hose to the valve cover.
