Rep Power: 0 Sound System Issue
Hey Everyone,
Im currently running 3 10 inch JL w2s with a 1001bd Rockford Fosgate amp. The systems bomb, only issue is my ground. For those of you familiar with the 2004 civics I have the ground on the passenger side in the trunk right after the rear seat there is a little bracket with a black pin over it holding down the carpet lining I pulled up the bracket sanded the body and the Ground is between the body and bracket being held by that pin, now it may be the plastic interfering becasue its not a conductor, but there is enough body contact . The issue is due to the intense vibration lol the ground actually comes out, now I chose that shitty location becasue
1. It was a quick job
2. The ground is stupidly short
3. The rest of the wires are quite short so the amp barely makes it to the trunkIf anyone can pleaseeeeeeeeee reccomend another location and PLEASE include a picture so I see where your talking about I would be very āppreciative, I dont mind drilling just have a shitty 12v lol so keep that in mind. Its really annoying when your with your girlfriend and loving a track and it cuts out not gonna lie lol. So please help out
thanks everyone!

Re: Sound System Issue
I pretty much have it in the same location as you
Easy fix?
Drill a couple holes, sand down the contact location, buy a few self tapping screws, and keep it in place
Better fix/ground?
Get a bigger ring terminal and ground it to a strut bolt
Best ground?
Ground it directly to the battery, that'll give you the best ground possible
Heres a picture of mine, same location, with self tapping screws, my ground wire was about 6 inches too
