OK, I've owned the car for two years and finally have decided to fix the dang power locks the passenger side works with the internal switch but the remote does but only when it feels like it, I've been trying to find a pattern, like if it's cold or wet or humid or anything and it just appears random, it locks with the key and the driver side sometimes unlocks with the remote like one in twenty tries, and most times when it fails it's moved enough to trigger the interior light, I'm so confused and need help bad, anything would be a help and schematics are great. Most likely actuators in both cases.

Try working the lock/unlock button on the drivers door several times up & down & see if they work for a short while afterwards (drivers door shut)

Listen for buzzing sounds and watch for sliight movement of lock **** when attempting with remote (the pulses used with remote are shorter and will make a bad actuator show up)

ok, makes sense i don't have a clue where or how the remote control receiver works so thanks for the insight I'll try it today at lunch, hopefully she'll show up and just curious how hard it is to replace/remove the actuators and some idea of where to start taking my door apart because i can't see any screws or anything probably the panted Honda clips but I'm not sure and don't feel like buying a new door panel thanks in advance to al and especially Craig for the short pulse info great help. My passenger actuator kept getting slower and slower, but if I worked several times with the lock/unlock switch it would work fine until it sat overnight.

The actuators are mounted on the latch assembly near the back edge of the doors. Latch is held with 3 screws. It has linkages that disconnect going to the opener handles, the lock **** & the key cylinder.

The door panel has a screw behind the rectangle plate in the inside opener handle.Also near the front of the lower cover/pull handle near the fabric is a slot to release the lower cover and peel it off the upper... that will reveal 2 more screws.

mucho gracious guys i think i'm gonna do tat after i finish tearing apart my turbo which i'm finnaly fixing the leaky exhaust manifold for, that link was very helpfull and i 'm var gratefull for the on-page diy that i can access on my dinosur of a computer and once again thanks guys!
